In a bowl, mix all these ingredients and coat chicken well. Heat oil and deep fry the chicken pieces just until lightly golden.
Remove and keep aside.
In a bowl, mix all sauce ingredients and set aside.
Heat oil, add in garlic, chilli flakes, green onion whites and fry on low for 1–2 minutes. Add in the sauce, mix well and let bubble for 2 minutes.
Add in the fried chicken along with the vegetables. Mix well until everything is coated well with the sauce. Add the cornflour slurry. Let cook for 8-10 minutes until vegetables are a bit softened. Adjust the gravy consistency by adding more water if required. Add salt if required.
Do coal smoke for street style desi Chinese flavour. Garnish with chopped green onion and serve with fried rice.
