Ingredients

  • 7/8 medium-sized plums

  • 1 tbsp light brown sugar

  • 1 apple

  • 3 tbsp cornflour

  •  2 tsp cinnamon

  • 120g plain flour

  • 1tsp baking powder

  • 30g sugar

  • 100g cold lighter butter

  • 150ml low-fat cream

Directions

  • Finely slice the plums, grate and peel the apple and combine with the brown sugar. Add the cornflour and cinnamon then place in the bottom of a cast-iron dish.
  • Mix flour, baking powder, sugar and butter and combine until crumbly. Mix in the cream then drop spoonfuls onto the plum mix.
  • Sprinkle with a little sugar and bake for 40 mins on 180C.
